18. Eric Copeland
Logo My Ego
(L.I.E.S)
Listen to Logo My Ego, and you’ll see why this mini LP was billed ‘pop music for the demented’. Eric Copeland’s debut release for L.I.E.S. is a big time head twister. To match the network of warped, deranged sonics (built using little more than a tape looper, some old cassettes and rhythm box), the artwork is crafted from an assemblage of textures. The picture sleeve features two panels of collage art, put together by the experimental musician himself. Both the record and artwork are delightfully weird and wonderful.
