For a primitive form of animation that’s supposedly began around 100 BC or thereabouts, zoetrope is wonderfully mesmerising, especially when pressed on to the surface of vinyl. And in Venn digram crossover of zoetrope and vinyl, it doesn’t get much better than this Sculpture. A 7″ single, Plastic Infinite is adorned with a hypnotic, deeply dreamy animation, only visible when viewed under a strobe light or filmed at 25 frames per second. And don’t forget the music! The visual spectacle perfectly complements two brilliant psychedelic tracks that certainly deserve some attention too. Check out the record in action here.
