The second of Murphy’s four self-directed videos.

Part two of Róisin Murphy’s 4×12″ series with Maurice Fulton is dropping on vinyl on 6th July and ahead of the release, the multi-faceted artist has shared a dark and brooding new video for single ‘Plaything’.

Filmed as “visual chapters” during a two-day residency at The Store X, ‘Plaything’ takes Murphy’s narrative in a darker direction, a sequel in some sense to first video ‘All My Dreams’, which is about “my first rave experience at Shelley’s in Nottingham […] It represents a naive, youthful, burgeoning club culture,” she tells PAPER magazine.

“We have moved on a few years, and by then, I had seen people be swallowed up in the euphoria,” Murphy elaborates.
