LINN ELECTRONICS LINNDRUM
£1,200
The second product from the company, in 1982, and a successor to the LM-1, adding crash and ride cymbals. This box used samples of real drums that proved to be the hook that attracted it to so many artists who were looking for real sounds and not the synthetic stuff from the likes of Roland. The Linn offered 15 tuneable sounds and 56 drum patterns. So many hit singles featured the Linn, it became the sound of the 80s.
