VF Live: Rhythm Sister with Ariane V and Hemlin

London DJ collective Rhythm Sister’s Ariane V and Hemlin go b2b for their debut set as a duo on VF Live, traversing the multitudinous shades of house.

Speaking about the set, Ariane shares: “Dem and I know each other from Rhythm Sister – a DJ collective and community promoting and supporting rising female identifying/genderqueer artists. We organise parties (at least we used to before Covid), have a monthly radio show on Balamii, as well as hosting DJing and production workshops and classes.”

This is actually the first time we’ve ever played b2b, and vinyl only on top of that, and we are so happy with how it turned out. We’ll definitely try to go b2b more often! We picked songs that make us feel happy and energetic – records we’d never get bored of. Breaky house, early ’00s tech house, B-sides of a few classics, but also some fresh new releases that came out in the past few months.”
