In VF Live, our favourite collectors take you inside their homes, record shops and studios for intimate selects and mixes.

For their first VF Live set, NYC duo Musclecars select disco, house and jazz tunes they bought during lockdowns.

“We wanted the mix to feel similar to our Coloring Lessons parties, in that the energy is high, but you can still hear a jazz tune thrown in there,” the pair explain.

“The pandemic has forced us to re-contextualise a lot of music, and look at the way we play through a different lens. For us, it brought about this new concept that ‘all music can be dance music’ and ‘any floor can be a dance floor’.”
