This release is becoming increasingly redundant following the Numero reissues. It’s still a nice collectors item and it’s interesting to hear how the band progressed over the years in terms of singles. Matador, their European label, released a greatest hits entitled Further Listening at around the same time which is a similarly handy introduction.

When Numero announced the reissue series, Unwound celebrated by self-releasing their first record in years. While there is no new material on this live record, it is a fascinating and important listen because it showcases the massively impressive live band behind these records.
