Opulent doesn’t mean tasteful.

Both a dream and a horrible nightmare, Tutti Audio has unveiled its new stereogram turntable console, integrating a host of pricey audio components into a drinks cabinet-come-cockpit with what it calls a “mid-century twist of retro.”

Built on demand, the cabinet comes with two 20cm 90W Icon Audio loudspeakers as standard but includes space for the full set-up, from valve or solid state amps, to turntables, CD and tape players and an iPod dock.

Rigged with bluetooth and wi-fi connectivity, the real kicker comes when you open the lid to reveal red, light blue, dark blue, green, or white mood lighting for that ultimate ’70s sheen.

Naturally, it doesn’t come cheap and the full set-up featuring Icon Audio valve amp, Pro-ject Debut Carbon turntable and Onkyo C-N7050 streamer/CD player will set you back around £20,000. [via What Hi-Fi]
