This new metal turntable looks like a throwing star

An unexpected collaboration between Metallica and Pro-Ject.

Metallica and Pro-Ject Audio Systems have formed a surprising alliance to release a new very metal turntable.

Handmade in Europe, the limited edition player features a mirror-finished metal logo and metal top plate designed to give it its unique angular look.

More than just an expensive gimmick, the fully-functional turntable features an S-shaped tonearm with a pre-installed Pick it S2 C cartridge.

While it features adjusted tracking force and anti-skating, describing it as “a true audiophile investment” might be a bit of a stretch.

The turntable will be available this summer for £1,269.
