Düsseldorf was the city that birthed krautrock.
German label Grönland Records will release its second compilation of influential music from ’70s and ’80s Düsseldorf including tracks from Neu!, Die Krupps and more.
Electri_city 2 coincides with he reissue of Die Krupps member Rudi Esch’s book Elecri_city: The Electronic Music of Düsseldorff, which has been translated to English for the first time.
The comp will be released vinyl with a deluxe edition featuring a handful of extra tracks on CD. Electri_city, the original compilation – which was released in tandem with Esch’s book and has long been out of print – will also be reissued in a deluxe bundle with part two.
