Moving away from the left-field techno of past releases, Opal sees Batu working with textured electronics, mutated rhythms, sculpted sounds, and fragmented instrumentation.

The album is “guided by abstract inspiration from coastal landscapes and the mineral matter all life on Earth is built on,” he explains.

It follows the release of Batu’s last EP — I Own Your Energy.
