A ’90s hip-hop special, direct from Nairobi.

In VF Live, DJs take you inside their HQs, record stores, and studios for intimate sets and mixes.

Nairobi-based DJ Sam Tha Digga makes his VF Live debut, with a set featuring ’90s hip-hop tape mixes from his youth:

“When I was growing up, the music we listened to, or heard, was mainly from radio. However, there were limitations to what was played due to censorship and other factors.

Exceptions were found from older club-going friends that could buy mixes from pioneering DJs in chrome cassette format. This set is an ode to those ’90s hip-hop tapes.”
