Vocalist Abi Flynn joins Simko for unique London show.

There aren’t many artists who can feel equally at home performing at Boiler Room Ibiza as the Royal Albert Hall.

But with her debut album out now via The Vinyl Factory, Chicago DJ, producer and classically-trained composer Kate Simko will do just that when she takes to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room with her London Electronic Orchestra this week.

With a current surging through classical orchestration to create distinctive soundscapes that tread a delicate line between the soundtrack and the dance floor, Simko’s sound has been honed over a number of EPs and remix projects, working with Jamie Jones, Katy B, The xx and most recently appearing on Decca’s Re:works compilation. This promises to be one of her most ambitious performances to date.

Joined by Brighton-based guest vocalist and Tru Thoughts affiliate Abi Flynn, and styled by Chinese fashion designer Rui Xu, Kate Simko and London Electronic Orchestra will perform at the Royal Albert hall’s Elgar Room on Wednesday 12th October at 8pm.
