Skinny Pelembe announces new Brownswood EP on limited vinyl

Featuring Emma-Jean Thackray, Yazmin Lacey, Hejira and Bernado.

Guitarist, producer and singer Skinny Pelembe will release his second EP, Sleep More, Make More Friends, on Brownswood Recordings in September.

A graduate of Gilles Peterson’s Future Bubblers project, Pelembe will be joined by four collaborators, each of whom bring varied textures to his hazy, low-slung production, and psych-tinged guitar playing.

The follow up to Spit / Swallow, which was released earlier this year, Sleep More, Make More Friends also features South London trio Hejira, British/Portuguese singer and songwriter Bernardo, and jazz trumpeter Emma-Jean Thackray, whose Ley Lines EP was released on The Vinyl Factory earlier this year.

Earlier this week, Skinny Pelembe and Hejira joined VF editor Anton Spice in the Soho Radio studio to cut two tracks direct to acetate, and you can listen back to the show here.
