A new 15,000 capacity venue is opening in North London.

Broadwick Live are taking over what was formerly Tottenham IKEA to open DRUMSHEDS, a new 608,000 sqft cultural space.

Opening in September, DRUMSHEDS will be located in the Meridian Water area of North London, near to Tottenham Hale station.

The space will offer a curated programme of music, arts, culture and community from the team behind Printworks. The programme is yet to be announced, but more information can be found here.

“Broadwick’s mission has always been to build brands that deliver unrivaled, live experiences that create real impact,” says Broadwick’s Director of Strategy Simeon Alfred. “We want Drumsheds, like all the spaces we create, to be new centres of cultural gravity that provide the basis for human connection. A connection that people crave now more than ever.”

In a statement, Broadwick add that “guests will be able to see the old lift shafts, loading bays, sprawling floors and machinery as they transition through the impressive space” as they plan to leave the features of the former IKEA warehouse intact.

They are also working with local authorities to support local communities with job opportunities and free ticket schemes.
