Beck will perform a one-off show at the Barbican as part of the 30 Day Happening.

Renewing his creative relationship with LA multi-media artist Doug Aitken, Beck has devised a one-off performance for the forthcoming reincarnation of Aitken’s Station To Station project at the Barbican.

Having taken part in the first instalment of Station To Station which crossed the United States by train, Beck will be joined by Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) for a unique evening of music, poetry and visual arts in London.

Together they will weave music together with readings from Simon Armitage, Paul Farley, Jemima Foxtrot, Lavinia Greenlaw, Don Paterson, Sam Riviere and Luke Wright in front of a backdrop of video projections by Doug Aitken himself, capturing the collaborative essence at the heart of Station To Station.

The performance will take place on Monday 29 June 2015 in the Barbican hall at 8pm. Tickets go on sale to Barbican members this morning, and general sale on Saturday June 20 at 10am. Click here for more info.

Taking over the Barbican for thirty days from 27th June, Station To Station will feature the VF Press, The Vinyl Factory’s mobile pressing unit created in collaboration with Christian Marclay. Installed at the Barbican, it will press recordings made during the month-long event on site, giving visitors a chance to see the process in action.
