“Fits 50 records, or a week of greenery,” says Madlib.
Here’s your chance to own a record case that doubles up as a piece of art. Hip-hop reissue heads Get On Down have just unveiled their limited edition “Beat Bop Record Box”, designed by your favourite rapper’s favourite artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Licensed “Beat Bop” Tartown-related images from Rammellzee and K-Rob’s 1983 classic ‘Beat Bop’ decorate all four sides of the case. Collectors will know that original copies of that record are one of hip-hop’s holy grail – a record heard by many, but held by few.
The black leatherette box holds up to 50 LPs and arrives in a limited run of 1,000. You can buy the case sale individually or bundled with a split coloured vinyl reissue of the hip-hop classic. [via FACT]
