The group includes Betamax on drums and percussion, Ruth Goller of Melt Yourself Down on bass, artist Nahum Mantra on the Theremin, performance artist Mr Noodles on vocals and sound artist Ed Briggs on homemade synths.

Champagne Dub’s debut album Drops is a mix of dub, post punk, psych and English folk, with the band trying to create ‘sound without intention’ as per the teachings of Zen Buddhist philosophy.

Faith and Industry records was founded by musician and producer, Capitol K, who co-runs the Total Refreshment Studio, part of London’s Total Refreshment Centre.

Total Refreshment Centre has been closed since June of this year following an intervention by Hackney council. The centre has recently announced that it has been granted permission by the council to host a party at the centre 27th-28th October and it will host a “memorial party” in November at Studio 9294 in Hackney Wick, with Betamax’s group Soccer96 included in the night’s line-up.
