The Swedish producer lets his organic sound unfurl.

Influential in helping shape the melodic modern techno sound of the 2000’s, Swedish producer and multi-instrumentalist Sebastian Mullaert has continued to refine his work as a solo musician in 2017, with a trio of EPs on R&S sub-label Apollo, Default Position, and most recently ‘Broken Mirror’ on Mule Musiq.

Making much of his music from a rural idyll in the south of Sweden, Mullaert converted a 19th century building into a functioning studio, which is now home to his extensive collection of gear from Roland, Moog, Korg and more.

Having gone Against The Clock and made a track in 10 minutes for FACT magazine, we gave Mullaert a little longer in the studio to let his organic, freeform sound breathe. Evolving naturally over the course of fifteen minutes with the help of some live violin, you can watch the session in full above.

Sebatian Mullaert’s Broken Mirror is out now on Mule Musiq.
