VF releases soundtrack to Caterina Barbieri installation

Featuring artwork with design by Ruben Spini.

The Vinyl Factory has released the soundtrack to Caterina Barbieri’s installation, Vigil.

Vigil, a collaborative piece composed by Caterina Barbieri and multimedia artist Ruben Spini, was originally composed for Future Shock at 180 Studios in 2022 and is now showing at The Vinyl Factory: Reverb exhibition.

Limited to 500 copies, the Vigil vinyl release contains the composition “The Landscape Listens”, a lush, explorative soundscape accompanying the installation in person.

Widely recognised as a young electronic music pioneer, Caterina Barbieri is the new Artistic Director of the Music Department of the Venice Biennale. Throughout her work across albums, installations and film soundtracks, Barbieri explores the metaphysical effects of sound on the listener.

Pressed on 180-gram heavyweight clear vinyl, Vigil has a gloss UV sleeve featuring artwork designed by Spini. Order a copy now.
