Developed in 2018 with trumpeter Nate Wooley, ‘Becoming Air’ sees Lockwood using extended technique and electronics to explore fluctuating pitches and timbral instability.

‘Into the Vanishing Point’ (2019) was inspired by Lockwood’s long standing ecological and environmental concerns. Developed collaboratively with piano and percussion quartet Yarn/Wire’s, the group channeled  their responses to an article exploring the global collapse of insect populations into sound.

Becoming Air / Into The Vanishing Point follows Black Truffle’s release of Ora Clementi’s Sylva Sylvarum album.
