The guide is separated into two parts: Methods and Club Skills.

Methods covers subjects including mixing styles, pre-set preparation, monitoring BPM and building up a record collection.

While Club Skills offers advice on how to organise a record bag, how to chose tracks during a set, negotiating booking fees, as well as a section dealing with drugs and alcohol.

“Our intention is to stimulate creativity and consideration of new ways of working. We want to share our knowledge and experiences to hopefully help others, not make them feel othered by declarations of ‘this is what a real DJ does’,” Octo Octa and Eris shared.
