Determined to become a rapper from a young age, Obongjayar honed his skills performing at his grandmother’s gospel church. Moving towards singing, he mixes influences including spoken word, nu-jazz and Afrobeat rhythms into his style.

Which Way is Forward? “is a project about love, family, self empowerment and self belief. It’s a mirror that allows you to look inward, to understand trauma, to heal”, shares Obongjayar.

The EP follows Obongjayar’s contributions to Richard Russell’s Everything Is Recorded collection, as well as Danny Brown’s uknowhatimsayin¿.

Which Way is Forward? will be released on the 7th of February, check out the artwork and tracklist below.
