Nils Frahm collects solo piano pieces on new LP, Old Friends New Friends

Featuring a collection of primarily unreleased compositions from 2009 to 2021.

Nils Frahm is releasing a new album called Old Friends New Friends, via LEITER this December.

Frahm began working on forming the album during the Coronavirus pandemic, sifting through his archives to select his favourite pieces.

Old Friends New Friends subsequently features 23 solo piano compositions — the majority of which have previously not been released — created between 2009 to 2021.

It follows his collaborative 2X1=4 album with F.S. Blumm, which was released in September.
