No Icon aims to tell the story of Gordon’s life from her childhood in surfing in California during the ’60s and ’70s, to her involvement in NYC’s downtown art and music scene during the ’80s and ’90s.
Across 272-pages, the book draws on previously unpublished personal photographs, magazine and newspaper clippings, fashion editorials and advertising campaigns, alongside Gordon’s own song lyrics, writings, artworks, and ephemera.
No Icon follows the release of Gordon’s first solo LP, No Home Record – one of our favourite albums in 2019.
