For the compilation, the artists spent a week together collaborating in Nairobi, later completing the album remotely across the Coronavirus lockdowns of 2020 and 2021.

New Tangents In Kampala, London and Nairobi features artists including: Faizal Mostrixx, Hibotep, K15, Karun, Labdi, Lex Amor, Lynda Dawn, Maxwell Owen, and Azu Tiwaline.

The resulting sonics span soul, glitchy electronics, spoken word, and instrumental tracks.

It follows the label’s release of Mara TK’s Bad Meditation album.
