Emma-Jean Thackray releases new live EP, Yellower Vol.1

Featuring live renditions of tracks from her 2021 album, Yellow.

Multi-instrumentalist Emma-Jean Thackray has released a new live EP, titled Yellower Vol.1, via her own Movementt label.

Yellower Vol.1 features live versions of music from Thackray’s Yellow album – one of our favourite records of 2021.

The tunes were recorded at Pitchfork festival, Later… with Jools Holland, and her sessions at The Church Studios.

“When the band and I play live the music takes on new life. We use so much improvisation and there’s so much trust between us that every show is a brand new one where anything can happen,” shares Thackray.

Also released on Movementt, Yellow was one of our favourite albums of 2021.
