
Blue Note unveils second instalment of limited edition vinyl box set series
With Tony Allen, Art Blakey, Bobby Hutcherson and a Tony Williams tribute album.
Blue note has announced the second edition of its “luxury box set” subscription series: Blue Note Review, out this November.

Curated by Blue Note President Don Was, the box set features an exclusive collection of both new and archival recordings.
Blue Note Review Volume Two includes:
– A 2xLP compilation album of current drummers from Blue Note’s roster paying tribute to Tony Williams including Brian Blade, Kendrick Scott, Tony Allen, Chris Dave, Nate Smith, Eric Harland, and Rob Turner.
– A 1xLP remastered reissue of Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers’ album Africaine.
– 2×12″ lithographs of Art Blakey and Elvin Jones by photographer and Blue Note co-founder Francis Wolff
– 1 set of Tops Blue Note trading cards, based on Topps 1959 baseball cards, featuring artists including Thelonious Monk, Horace Silver, Dexter Gordon, Lee Morgan, Grant Green, Hank Mobley, Freddie Hubbard, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Charles Lloyd, Robert Glasper.
