Jazzy electronics awash with “spacey retro-future nostalgia”.

Vels Trio are releasing their debut album — Celestial Greens — via Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section label this October.

Vels Trio is formed of Jack Stephenson-Oliver on keyboards, Dougal Taylor on drums, and Cameron Dawson on bass.

Recorded at Kate Bush’s ’70s studio, Celestial Greens sees the trio combining improvised instrumentals with jazz-inspired electronics, “ spacey retro-future nostalgia”, and sci-fi elements.

It follows Rhythm Section’s SHOUTS 2021 compilation.
