Taking influence from Indian folk, Angolan Kuduro, Egyptian Mahraganat and beyond.

Drummer and producer Sunken Cages, aka Ravish Momin, is releasing a new album called When The Waters Refused Our History via On The Corner this April.

Across the album Momin combines “ancient percussion” with experimental electronics to explore “his own journey and that of the world of his ancestors.”

He also draws influence from Indian folk music, Angolan Kuduro, and Egyptian Mahraganat.

When The Waters Refused Our History follows On The Corner’s release of Guedra Geudra’s debut album, Vexillology, in March.
