Born during 1955 in California, Roach taught himself how to play synthesizer at the age of 2020, inspired by the music of Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, and Vangelis.

For Structures From Silence, he looked to the beauty of the southwestern U.S., channeling what he saw into serene ambient passages designed to soothe and inspire.

It follows Roach’s album Tomorrow, which was released in 2020.
