Soul Jazz celebrates the women of Studio One in new compilation

Featuring Marcia Griffiths, Rita Marley, Hortense Ellis, Nina Soul and more.

Soul Jazz Records is releasing a new compilation focusing on the women of Studio One, called Studio One Women 2, this May.

The compilation focuses on both rare and classic tracks recorded at Studio One by female artists, all of which were produced by Clement ‘Sir Coxsone’ Dodd.

It features music from artists including: Marcia Griffiths, Rita Marley, Hortense Ellis, Nina Soul, Angela Prince, Jennifer Lara, and The Jay Tees.

Studio One Women 2 follows the label’s 18th anniversary reissue of its Studio One Dub compilation, in March.
