Sigur Rós’ first album in a decade is set for vinyl

ÁTTA will be available on clear vinyl.

Following its surprise digital drop, Sigur Rós will release ÁTTA on vinyl this September.

Sigur Rós’ first album in 10 years, ÁTTA was recorded across studios in Iceland, the U.K. and the U.S and leans towards the Icelandic band’s orchestral tendencies. The London Contemporary Orchestra feature heavily on the release.

“We wanted to allow ourselves to be a bit dramatic and go far with these arrangements. The world needs that right now. It’s hard to describe, but for me everything is always open to interpretation. People can think and feel how they want,” says Kjartan “Kjarri” Sveinsson.

ÁTTA is available to pre-order on clear double vinyl ahead of its September 1 release.
