A high-end vinyl spinner.
Pro-Ject has released a 2016 version of its 6 Perspex turntable series. The new model takes design cues from its predecessor, but is booted with a new motor unit.
The belt-driven deck includes its own electronic speed box (hence SB) that is also said to generate a fresh sine wave “for filtering out the fluctuations and distortions associated with a typical mains supply.”
The striking perspex plinth, that gives the player its name, is accented by the striking sub-chassis, platter and TPE-damped aluminium coned feet. The turntable is finished with Pro-Ject’s own 9cc Evolution carbon-fibre tonearm.
The 6 Perspex SB is on sale now for suggested retail price of £1,300. Find complete specs here.
