Phelps recorded Magnetic Eyes in his bedroom studio in Missouri City, using a Portastudio, Roland SH-101 synth, Fender Rhodes piano, Roland drum machine, and a Radio Shack stereo mic.

The release is being reissued from the masters of the LP’s second mix, after faults were discovered in the original 1985 version.

It follows Numero Group’s reissue of Pastor T.L. Barrett & The Youth For Christ Choir’s I Shall Wear A Crownone of our favourite reissues of 2021.
