Montreux Jazz Festival has made a selection of 56 concerts from its archive free to watch online.

Nestled between Lake Geneva and the Alps, the Montreux Jazz Festival was founded in 1967 by Claude Nob, and has has played host to artists ranging from Aretha Franklin and Prince, to Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga.

Although the festival was set to unveil the line-up of its 54th edition, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic it has instead chosen to make 56 concerts from across its years available to watch online.

The selection includes performances by Nina Simone, Patti Smith, Wu-Tang Clan, Talk Talk, Lou Reed, Alanis Morissette, Quincy Jones, and Run DMC.

The concerts will remain free to view until 30 April 2020.
