Nabihah Iqbal, formerly Throwing Shade, announces debut album on Ninja Tune

Ninja Tune is set to release Weighing of the Heart, the debut album from electronic artist and DJ Nabihah Iqbal, formerly known as Throwing Shade, later this fall. Iqbal says she’s gotten rid of the moniker and “proudly wears [her given name] as a female British Asian artist making electronic music.”

The first single ‘Something More’ (which you can hear above) has a dream pop feel to it, and Iqbal writes that some of the influences for this album also include CAN and Bauhaus. Weighing of the Heart is available for pre-order on vinyl, CD and digital, and will be released on 1st December.
