Musica Macondo is releasing a new compilation, called Brasil Novo, this May.

Curated by Tahira and Tim Garcia, the compilation focuses on artists from the cities of Recife, Rio De Janeiro, and São Paulo; sonically, Brasil Novo spans samba, candomblé, batuques, jazz, and folk.

The compilation features music from Caê, Dona Celia Coquista, Toró Instrumental, Renata Rosa, Alabe Ketujazz, Grupo Bongar, Xaxado Novo, and Ilú Obá De Min.

It follows the label’s release of Yelfris Valdés’ For The Ones​.​.​. Remixed EP.
