Created using kalimba, harmonica, keyboard, flute, tambourine, chajchas, and cajón.

Experimental artists and producer Morita Vargas’ 2018 debut album 8 is being released on vinyl for the first time, via Hidden Harmony Recordings this September.

8 first began as voice notes on Vargas’ phone, before she later added instruments including kalimba, harmonica, keyboard, flute, tambourine, chajchas, and cajón.

Across the album, she manipulates her own voice through reverbs, delays and whispers to create her own ‘language’, subsequently leading it through ambient and experimental compositions.

8 was first released digitally in 2018 on Vargas’ Bandcamp, with Hidden Harmony’s release marking the album’s first time on vinyl.

It follows the label’s release of C.R. Gillespie’s Concentration Patterns album, in May.
