Celebrated Japanese composer and percussionist Midori Takada’s 1999 album Tree Of Life is being reissued on vinyl by WRWTFWW Records this November.

This will be the first time the album has been made available on vinyl, having previously only been released in CD format. The reissue has been mastered at half speed.

Tree Of Life was Takada’s second solo album, arriving a full 16 years after the release of her debut, 1983’s Through The Looking Glass.

A pioneer of minimal and ambient music, Takada deploys soft drumming, bells, and marimba. She’s joined on the record by Jiang Jian-hua playing the erhu, a Chinese two-stringed violin.

The reissue of Tree Of Life follows the release of two new solo albums Takada put out, also via WRWTFWW, in June.

Pre-orders are available from WRWTFWW’s Bandcamp page, ahead of a November 4th release date. Check out the artwork and tracklist below.
