Weaving together psychedelia and mysticism.

Marco Shuttle is releasing a new album, called Cobalt Desert Oasis, via Anthony Naples and Jenny Slattery’ Incienso label this October.

For the album Shuttle drew on a collection of field recordings taken over the space of a two year period, later combining them with synths, drum machines, analog oscillators and Tombak — a traditional Persian hand drum.

Cobalt Desert Oasis also has a symbiotic relationship with Shuttle’s own photography, which adorns the album’s cover.

It follows Nene H’s Ali album on Incienso, in July.
