Multivocal’s two tracks were recorded live during 2018’s Ars Electronica event ‘Sonatas for Sleep/less’, curated by artist Shu Lea Cheang and cultural theorist Matthew Fuller.

Working with elements of psychoacoustics, the study of how people react both physically and psychologically to sound, Jessica Ekomane’s two new tracks initially mirror each other, only to diverge with a difference in scale and tempo, before returning to finish in unison.

Multivocal follows Ekomane’s work at the German pavilion’s sound exhibition ‘Tribute to Whistle’ at the 2019 Venice Biennale.
