Behind-the-scenes of the sound system that began life as part of the travelling speaker stack for one of the UK’s most influential dub collectives and sound systems.

Founded by Huw Williams, Sinai Sound System began life as part of the travelling speaker stack for legendary dub outfit Iration Steppas.

After Williams was introduced to Iration Steppas at a SubDub night in Leeds, he travelled with them to the south of France, getting his first experience of how to run a touring sound system.

Now, Sinai has been hosted by the likes of Deep Medi, Tectonic Recordings and Young Echo.

For the film, Fact magazine travelled to Sheffield to hear the story of Sinai Sound System, following it to Bristol’s Trinity Centre as it prepares to provide the audio for the fifth birthday party of Batu’s Timedance label.
