Hyperdub unveils Burial-themed skateboard

In collaboration with skateboarder Yaje Popson and Alien Workshop.

Hyperdub has teamed up with pro-skater Yaje Popson on a Burial-themed skateboard, RA reports.

Popson spoke to the label about his love of Burial’s Untrue album last year, hoping to collaborate on a new deck design. Adapted from the album’s iconic artwork, the skateboard was created in collaboration with US skate brand Alien Workshop.

“The album’s city soundscape resonates, because as a skater I am constantly engulfed in the streets of the metropolis, looking for skate spots among the rat race of Gotham,” says Popson. “Skateboarding gives us this reason to explore and appreciate the grittiness of city life.”

Hyperdub has also teamed up with The Vinyl Factory for a give away of a limited edition Hyperdub x Analogue Sega Mega Drive console, which features exclusive tracks by Burial alongside Ikonika, Kode9, Scratcha DVA and more.
