Created almost entirely using only her own voice.

Japanese voice artist Hatis Noit is releasing her debut album — Aura — via Erased Tapes this June.

Noit’s practice is inspired by Gagaku — Japanese classical music — folk music, Bulgarian and Gregorian chanting, and avant-garde vocalists.

Aura was created almost entirely using nothing but her own voice, with the exception of field recordings of the ocean featured on ‘Inori’.

It follows her 2018 EP Illogical Dance, which was also released on Erased Tapes.

Pre-order Aura here in advance of its 24th June release; check out the artwork and tracklist below.
