As well as Moroccan disco elements, political songs from Lebanon, and beyond.

Habibi Funk is releasing a new compilation, titled An Eclectic Selection of Music From The Arab World, Part 2, this August.

Presented as a collection of songs enjoyed by the label and not “a historic reflection of popular music of the ‘Arab world’”, the compilation spans Egyptian organ funk, Moroccan disco, Libyan reggae, political songs from Lebanon and beyond.

It features music from artists including Sal Davis, Najib Al Housh, Ahmed Malek, and Magdy El Hussainy.

An Eclectic Selection of Music From The Arab World, Part 2 follows Habibi Funk’s reissue of Rogér Fakhr’s Fine Away album, in April.
