Taking tracks from their self-titled debut album.

DMX Krew, aka Ed Upton, is releasing a new EP of Level 42 covers, called Turn It On, via Utter this October.

The EP features covers of tracks Level 42’s band’s 1981 self-titled album, including ‘Turn It On’, ‘Love Games’ and ’43’.

Infusing electro and boogie sounds, Upton swapped live instruments for drum machines and synths, and vocals for vocoders.

The EP is dedicated to Level 42 founding member Rowland ‘Boon’ Gould, who took his own life last year.

Turn It On follows Utter’s release of Legowelt’s Schaduw Horizon album under his Sammy Osmo alias.
