Synths meet female vocals and elements of traditional Moroccan music.

Hassan Ideddir’s 1989 single ‘Atfalouna’ is being reissued in an expanded edition via Dark Entries this April.

Ideddir began making music at the age of just 10. Encouraged by friends and family, he went on to play sold-out concerts in Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakesh.

Following this, he recorded his debut single ‘Atfalouna’, which incorporated synths with electronic drums, female vocals, and elements of traditional Moroccan music.

Dark Entries’ expanded reissue also includes a shorter instrumental version, plus two tracks not included on the original 12”.

It follows the label’s Back Up: Mexican Tecno Pop 1980-1989 compilation — one of our favourite records of 2021.
