“I want people to listen to this in the same way they would read a set of Roald Dahl short stories.”

Clark is releasing a new album called Kiri Variations, out this July via his Throttle Records imprint.

Listen next: J.S. Bach by Clark

Kiri Variations began life as the score of the BAFTA award winning television series Kiri, but after only a small portion of the music was used for the drama Clark decided to release the creations as an LP.

Clark has also shared the track Cannibal Homecoming, which features largely untreated vocals from himself. He describes the track as “like Japanese cuisine – it explores lots of textures but coheres as a song er… ‘meal’.”

Kiri Variations follows Clark’s 2017 release Death Peek, as well as his single E.C.S.T. T.R.A.X., released last year.
