Led by director Gary Hustwit — whose previous work includes Helvetica, Rams, and Workplace — Eno marks the first authorised documentary on the legendary musician.
The doc aims to bring together previously unreleased music, footage, and art to explore Eno’s life and musical legacy.
The film’s producers note that it will be released in multiple versions and employ “groundbreaking generative technology” — what exactly this entails remains unclear.
Eno last collaborated with Hustwit on his 2018 documentary on designer Dieter Rams.
The film is currently set to be released in 2023.
